Developer Setup

Most development tools work on Workbench as they do on other Linux systems. This page covers the ones that need specific setup on Workbench or the c100.

PyTorch

The c100’s Radeon 780M GPU supports PyTorch through AMD’s ROCm. PyTorch must be installed from its ROCm 7.14 package index, or a newer one. Earlier ROCm builds do not support the c100’s GPU.

As an example, this is how a user would add PyTorch to a uv project:uv add torch torchvision --index pytorch-rocm=https://download.pytorch.org/whl/rocm7.14

PyTorch refers to the GPU as cuda, including on AMD hardware.
